Political Base

Early this summer, the five folks on your right started building Politicalbase.com as a resource for people wanting to make informed decisions when casting their vote. This team has worked on previous web sites like CNET, Comicvine, CHOW, TV.com, Rhapsody, MP3.com and a few more.

Our hope is that Political Base will be your source for lively conversation and information on political issues, candidates and opinion. We have used publicly available data and media resources, such as the FEC and YouTube videos to enhance the conversation. The rest of our content is contributed by our bloggers, community and moderators.

• A resource for easy to find and understand answers on political candidates and issues.
• A place for engaging conversations about politics.
• A tool to be used in coordination with existing media to help voters make more informed voting decisions.
• To make it easier to see connections between candidates, fundraising, issues and media.

We plan to do that through advertising some time in the future. When we do have advertising, we hope to have participation from both sides of an election or issue. Either way, we will not allow advertising to influence our moderation or blogging policies.
