Democrats in 2008 already costing us more money
A re-vote in Michigan would cost approximately $8 million to $12 million. In Florida, projections are it would cost $24 million for a new primary, even though the original primary only cost $18 million. A caucus would cost about $4 million. A mail-in vote would be about $8 million, according to Florida Sen. Bill Nelson, a Clinton backer who unsuccessfully sued the DNC to prevent it from instituting the penalty.
The states don’t want to pay the money it would take for a new primary and neither candidate wants a solution that might give the other an advantage.
Don't look now but I'm sure the taxpayers in one MI or FL or all the rest of us will need to dig in our pockets to help fund this too!! Politicians are morons!!
So its the Democrats' fault that a Republican controlled legislature in Florida has no regard for the political process and rules set by the DNC and RNC? Their was a reason Nelson was unsucessful at his lawsuit against Dean and the DNC, The rules were made, Florida figured the rules didn't apply to them, the DNC warned them, they did it anyway and were punished just like they promised. It'd be pretty hard to go into a courtroom and say "but judge, i thought they were kidding"
