Please do not go against the will of the majority, even if Florida and Michagan are not being counted. Obama is not good for this country, he just say,s change, but what exactly is he talking about? Does anyone know? If so please tell me, because i havent heard a word about what his real agenda is, other than change! Change from WHAT to WHAT is what i want to know!
I disagree. McCain is the BEST candidate. He'll continue to protect us from the terroists in Iran and Iraq, as Bush has. He'll make certain that those of us who earn over $500,000 have a permanent $50,000 tax break. AND he'll continue government deregulation. Look at all the great benefits the Reagan, Bush era of removing government regulation has brought the American corpora - I mean people. More of the SAME - Vote John McCain 2008!
McCain, who voted for Bush’s Iraq fiasco, Who intends to give control of our foreign policy to our generals, Who criticized Obama for wanting to go after al-Qa’ida right after saying he wanted to follow bin Laden to the gates of hell, Who tried to commit suicide twice, Who has a titanic temper and a vindictive streak, Who flipflopped on Bush’s idiotic tax cuts and on abortion and on immigration and on ethanol and on the religious right and even on torture, Who says “let’s focus on the future” when he gets busted for lying in the past, Who sucked up to the far right on religion and immigration and tax cuts and campaign finance and abortion, Whose executive leadership ability is so flimsy that his campaign descended into chaos and bankruptcy, Who got busted for committing for public financing and then trying to weasel out of it illegally (and then falsely accusing Obama on the same issue), Whose campaign is loaded with lobbyists including the guys who helped McCain rig a corrupt aircraft deal and screwed Boeing in favour of a foreign firm, Who got busted as a member of the Keating Five, Who cheated on his wife and then dumped her, Whose war-hero status is entirely based on failing to evade antiaircraft fire, Who wasn’t even born in the U.S. Who has fought cancer three times (which has a 9 percent chance of killing him) and would be 72 when he takes office – all while flipflopping on whether he’ll run for a second term, Who reneged on a promise to release his medical records, Who nailed Chelsea Clinton at a Republican fundraiser: “Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno”, Who has admitted he is an ignoramus on economics and fiscal policy, like Bush, Who will continue using the Republican playbook on deliberately obstructing the function of Congress under the Mitch McConnell prescription, using illegal election tactics, smearing anyone who opposes the Republicans as unpatriotic, the embrace of the evangelicals, the lies and smears against Democrats, using the organs of the executive branch as weapons for political vendettas against Democrats, the Patriot Act, the illegal wiretaps, the illegal prisons, the illegal detentions, the illegal torture (he voted against stopping the CIA from using torture), the unconstitutional signing statements, the contempt for Congress, the chaos in the Department of Homeland Security, the unsecured border, the mess at FEMA, screaming “support the troops” while ignoring their needs and their safety, trashing our international reputation, titanic deficits, dragging his feet on global warming, blocking progress on health care, gunning for Roe v Wade, and of course “100 years in Iraq”.
Straight Shooter, your font is very large and bold, but your eagerness to end this highly democratic contest is sad and unfortunate. Democrats need to learn to stand up for the values their name suggests and Clinton is doing just that. When she's done they should all pull together (behind Obama presumably) and take a lesson from how hard she has fought into the general election.
Even though I think Obama might be the slightly better canidate, I completely respect what Clinton is doing. If Al Gore had shown the same fortitude in 2000 we never would have had 8 years of George Bush.
Hopefully Obama will learn a lesson from her courage and indefatigability before it comes time to confront the polling shenanigans we are sure to see on election day. Otherwise McCain is headed for the White House no matter how good a fight the Democrats put on.
I will not vote for(the) Hillary Clinton's and if she should be placed as the Democratic Candidate I will vote for McCain. Should she be placed on the Democratic ticket with Obama, I will also vote McCain. This is not the place or time to consider a woman for President. Unfortunately she made her choice to stick with Bill Clinton whether it be for combined aspirations or their money partnerships with Dubai.
