Quality of content here is terrible, what gives?

I was just reading the Giuliani page here, a lot of the content on it is terrible. The bias is pretty apparent. I am aware that users write the content, but is there going to be any moderation? For a website that has the opportunity to be a real resource for both democrats and republicans, I really see it having some troubles going that.

Has anyone else noticed this?

It's a new site, and content, especially unbiased content, is always going to be a challenge. Having done a couple sites over the years, I can tell you things always get better as the site and community matures.

And like you said, the site is editable, so if you have some time, help us out and try to clean it up.

Could be worse too, right now I'm rejecting the usual glut of spam going through the system from Tech Crunch curious dudes.

I think the great thing about a site like this, yoaliens, is that you, seeing a bias on a page, can fix it up to your liking. There is nothing on Giuliani's page that can't be changed. Please, help us by cleaning up any errors you find, and welcome to the site.

agrees with the original post

I love the site.

Maybe adding a twitter like feature someplace to view latest posts?

I can see a political forum being huge.

Plus, go MOBILE!

:)

my 2 cents.

The internet as a whole has great potential for improving our democracy. Political Base gives us a place to engage, exchange, compare, learn, and make the world a better place. And as a few of you have noted above, we have control over the quality of the information. Stellar!

Check out the "latest updates" areas in your profile, others profiles, the home page and some other spots. It should give a little activity log of updates as they happen. The home page for one example will update anytime people comment on posts, images, or anything like that.

Was that what you were looking for, or did you have something else in mind?

We're totally up for suggestions.

Yoalians, Check out the description of President Bush in the people section and compare it to that of the Clintons for example. Business as usual.

Ha not only is the bias terrible, but the quality of writing is just plain awful. Run-ons and sentence fragments are everywhere. Writers trying to use adjectives to enhance the writing just make it worse. Sentence structure makes me think its written by high schoolers.

I've actually edited one article, editing all of the mistakes would be impossible.
