I was listening to the BBC World Service today and it featured an interview with a democratic superdelegate from Tennessee (I forgot who it was). This person had already endorsed Obama and when asked whether he was planning to cast a vote in accordance with the primary results, this person indicated that he would stick with his endorsement. He said that people's votes reflect the latest news and information. Since the superdelegates are the last to vote, they have the most information and can therefore make the best decisions. He also said it's rather embarrassing to drop your endorsement and vote a different way at the convention, so most superdelegates don't do it.
