Vice President

I think McCain should have Condoleezza Rice as his Vice President, I would feel much better voting for him if he had someone like her on his ticket. But there's a lot of baggage along with Condoleezza Rice being associated with Bush's administration and all of the ugly background and conflict I don't feel like going into right now that has resulting from the last 6 to 8 years.

I agree with the baggage involved in bringing Condoleeza Rice. But I disagree that would even benefit McCain. If you want McCain to look like he is bringing Bush's third term, this is what you would want to do. McCain would benefit more from bringing in Gov. Pawlenty (MN), Former Gov. Romney (MA), or even Gov. Jindal (LA). Those would be better picks than Condoleeza Rice from a political point of view.

AMP nailed it. All bringing in Rice would do is show the "undecideds" out there that Obama is right and McCain is just Bush 3.0. He needs to choose a well respected Republican, but one not associated too closely with the current administration.

(President) Obama is on the right track for America, and I wish he will choose Brian Moore (Socialist) for his Vice President.

He probably needs a tough conservative to gear the republicans to actually like him. No to Romney!

Nothing McCain can do will make the far right trust him. He's flipflopped too many times. Many of them will go to Barr -- in some key states Barr is taking 5-10 points away from McCain. And that's the ball game.

McCain SHOULD pick Romney because Romney is the only candidate who gives McCain a clear benefit on the electoral map -- in Michigan. Polls show that Crist wouldn't even make a serious difference in Florida. All his other potential choices will scare away moderates, or scare conservatives, or both (i.e. Piyush Jindal the former Hindu).

McCain needs a younger person without baggage who can beat out Obama in terms of experience and leadership (especially due to McCain's age).

There is such a man out there. His name is Mark Schweiker, former Governor of Pennsy and now head of the Greater Philadlephia Chamber of Commerce.

Look up Schweiker...exopecially the NY Times news articles on his leadership during the Que Creek mine accident and also Schweiker's interview by Charlie Rose...Schweiker is a down to earth kinda guy who will bring in the Catholics, the New Yorkers who compare him to Giuliani, the Senior Citizens and the Pennsyltuckiesohioans!
