Background

  • Charles Urbina-Jones was born September 13th, 1947 in San Antonio Texas. His parents were community activists seeking to help at-risk kids, immigrants and others in need.
  • He received a B.S. in geology from St. Marys University. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He received the Bronze Star, Vietnamese Cross, Air Medal and Army Commendation Medal. He also served in the National Guard until 1978.
  • Urbina-Jones attended Texas Southern Universitys Thurgood Marshall School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1979.
    *He is married to Linda Noltemeier-Jones and has two grown children.
