Moving Away From Coal Power Moving Forward Gov Kathleen Sebelius has recently vetoed numerous attempts by the Republican led Kansas legislature's efforts in constructing two coal-fired power plants in Holcomb, KS. She has determined that the risks far outweigh the benefits. The veto currently stands as the State House has failed to muster enough majority to override the veto.
