Freedom of Information Act

Cosponsor - The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), of the United States Code, generally provides that any person has the right to request access to federal agency records or information and each federal agency is responsible for there own records. Bills and Resolutions Title: A bill to amend section 552(b)(3) of title 5, United States Code (commonly referred to as the Freedom of Information Act) to provide that statutory exemptions to the disclosure requirements of that Act shall specifically cite to the provision of that Act authorizing such exemptions, to ensure an open and deliberative process in Congress by providing for related legislative proposals to explicitly state such required citations, and for other purposes.
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)

The FISA prescribes procedures for the physical and electronic surveillance and collection of "foreign intelligence information" between "foreign powers and its agents", this may include American citizens and permanent residents engaged in espionage.

Co-sponsor: To amend the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 to establish a procedure for authorizing certain acquisitions of foreign intelligence, and for other purposes.
