She is Chairman of the Board of Supervisors' Economic Development Committee and also serves on the Board's Finance/Government Services Committee.

She represents Loudoun County on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG), Route 28 Transportation Improvement District Commission, and Northern Virginia Manpower Consortium Workforce Investment Board.

She also represents the Board of Supervisors on the Loudoun County Economic Development Commission, the Rural Economic Development Council, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors/School Board Joint Committee and the Loudoun County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

A native of North Carolina, she graduated cum laude from Furman University with a bachelor of arts degree in political science.

From 1997 to 2004, she worked for a pro-family, grassroots organization in Washington, D.C. While living in Alexandria, Va., she served on the Social Services Advisory Board and the Early Childhood Commission.

She, her husband Matt, and daughter Leigh Anna live in Lansdowne and are members of Sonrise Community Church.
