McCOTTER, Thaddeus George, a Representative from Michigan; born in Livonia, Wayne County, Mich., graduated from Detroit Central Catholic High School, Redford, Mich., 1983; B.A., University of Detroit, Detroit, Mich., 1987; J.D., University of Detroit, Detroit, Mich., 1990; lawyer, private practice; member of the Wayne County, Mich., commission, 1992-1998; member of the Michigan state senate, 1998-2002; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Eighth and to the two succeeding Congress (January 3, 2003-present).
