CLAY, William Lacy, Jr., (son of William Lacy Clay, Sr.), a Representative from Missouri; born in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Mo., July 27, 1956; graduated from Springbrook High School, Silver Spring, Md., 1974; B.A., University of Maryland, College Park, Md., 1983; member of the Missouri state house of representatives, 1983-1991; member of the Missouri state senate, 1991-2001; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Seventh and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2001-present).
