Dysalot agrees with the original post
The only reason "an armed society is a polite society" would be because people are living in fear. The fear of getting shot or killed, because they know everyone else has a gun. I don't think an armed society would be polite but the only fathomable way is if everyone is living in fear of everyone else. I would prefer not to live my life that way. Gun accidents would be way up, which is the most common cause of death by gun. Gun violence in my eyes would also be up. People would feel threatened over the smallest things and resort to shooting the other person, before they shoot them.
