No, this guy is NOT a joke. In fact, Fred Thompson was the only genuine America First candidate to throw his hat in the ring. So, what happened? The answer is simple in its complexity. First, the most of the major media was and remains anti-Fred Thompson. That's despite the fact that in the face of all the call for "change", Fred Thompson was the ONLY candidate to delineate the changes he would make and how he would accomplish such change. Secondly. the American public is far too gullible and accepting of media hype and far to ignorant of the real issues and how they affect us. Fred Thompson was the only real stateman to vie for the office of President in so long that most couldn't recognize the reality. Regardless of which remaining candidate or party wins in '08, hopefully we will survive the next four years and emerge still a nation with a hard-earned and solidly learned lesson. I'm not giving up. Hopefully, Fred Thompson won't either.
