Obama has said on several occasions that he will raise taxes and I believe him at his word. Why would he lie about raising taxes by eliminating the death tax, eliminating the cap in FICA earnings, and raising income tax on the wealthy and Corporations. That is all fact and it's easy to find, even you supporters of Obama can use Google?
I just hope everyone realizes that these higher taxes will stifle the US economy beyond anything we have seen so far. The 19% mortgage interest rates of the Carter administration will be upon us all again. If Obama gets his way it will stifle things so completely he will have to declare an end to the US Constitution and declare himself Dictator in Chief and his Polite Bureau will end all Freedoms we have been bestowed by our Creator.
Albert Gore Jr. is making millions of dollars off all of the people he has duped into believing his "Global Warming" scheme. He doesn't want to limit himself to a few hundred thousand dollars (and congressional oversight) when he can have a HUGE CARBON FOOTPRINT and guilt your family into driving a Prius.
US Competivness in the Global Economy
If you pay taxes, that probably means that you have a job that you get paid for. Since you aren't the only one who pays taxes then lets assume that your employer is paying in to Uncle Sam too. When the customer buys the goods from your employer they also get the high privileged to pay another tax to the government. Now when your employer sells their widget to a buyer located in another country they don't necessarily pay a tax directly to the US Government, they pay it in directly through the taxes that are paid to the US worker and his (her) employer. This makes our widget cost more on the world market and thus stagnates demand for expensive US produced goods. How is this good for the US Manufacturing companies and the jobs that go with them?
With the Fair Tax or consumption tax the end user is the only one paying taxes. This goes for the rich and everyone else. It eliminates the need to include taxes into the fixed cost for and item being produced and will make US goods more competitively priced in a global marketplace.
The U.S should be a part of Kyoto
We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.
31,072 American scientists including 9,021 with PhDs have signed this petition. Odds that this will be published: slim.
A war that we're really losing
Legalizing "Illegal Drugs" such as Cocaine, Marijuana, Heroine and Opium would be a mistake even larger than Prohibition was in place from 1919 to 1933 here in the US. With millions already addicted and living day to day, the people of the US really don't need the epidemic that would consume and kill millions of our kids for generations to come.
What the hell are you smokin, this entire writing is pure propaganda. After reading this I have to state my objection to this carpetbagger coming into Minnesota and expecting to be elected to the US Senate. Only a fool would believe anything you reprinted in the above posting.
Drug Cartel's will work with anyone that has cash to spend. They mule drugs, people and freight across our border everyday. To believe they wouldn't ally themselves with terrorist's is naive. Especially since they (the Cartels) act as terrorists in Mexico and South America as well. Have you heard of the Mexican Mafia, they do exist and are not a law abiding group, not at all.
I don't see this a humorous issue and have a problem with anyone who does. How can the US allow Millions of people to flow across the border? We are supposed to be a nations of laws, isn't that true? How about we all stop paying taxes, how long would it take for the US Government to enforce that law?
The U.S should be a part of Kyoto
How is it that overall US emissions have gone down without signing on and several countries that actually signed on to this farce have had emissions go up significantly? When will you stop drinking the Kool-aid and actually look at some honest data? Kyoto is a failure so when are you going to take an honest look?
Congressional Economic Oppression
With all due respect to the people, US Business has not grown in areas that are really going to benefit people here in the US. With the States and Federal Government finding new ways to regulate and stiffle growth, US owned Corporations are not growing as they would with a more market oriented approach. Allowing the market to dictate what and how compaies can grow and adapt to the world marketplace.
What does not work in a global economy is to allow a Liberal US Congress to dictate who and how US business makes money while competing with state owned and funded companies from arount the world. We need to ask how can we help, not how can ban our companies from good business practices and opportunity because it does not make sense to someone in congress who has never owned or operated a US Corporation who's intent and pourpose is to make a profit.
For those who are thinking that Hillary Clinton, Barck Obama or John McCain understand or are looking out for anything other than getting your vote, then you are indeed naive and foolish. None of them has ever headed a profitable business where checks and balances would hake or break the business.
For all of you who keep telling me that we have to do as the world does and emulate what the world does are completely wrong. We are the innovators and marketing kings of the world. We used to be the manufacturers of the world and allowed bad economic policy and taxes erode that to a silm fraction of what we once were. It's time that we allow our people to rebuild a great country back to what it once was and our government to allow it to happen. If we keep allowing our own government to kill US industry with their tax and regulation scemes, we can't expect to ever maintain our high standing in the world economic community.
My family tree shows that we (my family) was not even part of the us until the late 1800's. And then we immigrated to Maine where there wasn't slavery. So if this is the case, how can anyone expect me to pay someone who was not here anything for harm that was not done to them, even for generations before. This Reparations idea is a sham and just another attempt to get something for free. I work to support my family and so should everyone else.
