Wow, big surprise! private, for-profit enterprise > government: http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Insurance/InsureYourHome/RealKatrinaHeroWalMartStudySays.aspx
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the smear letter from Harry Reid and his colleagues that was sent to the CEO of Clear Channel asking him to “confer” with Rush about his comments sold for $2,100,100.00. With Rush’s match, this symbol of the democrat's patheticism raised $4,200,200.00 for the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation ( www.mc-lef.org ). Anyone who has bothered to research Rush’s comments knows that this entire fiasco was totally unfounded and started with the extreme liberal group media matters deliberately taking Rush’s comments out of context.
To top this whole thing off, Harry Reid is trying to shoehorn himself into this charitable contribution by trying to take at least partial credit. He made comments on the senate floor today discussing how such a great cause this is and how those who can afford to contribute should do what they can. This was all covered by C-Span. The audacity of the democratic party is just astounding isn’t it?! Rush has challenged Harry Reid and the other despicable senators that signed this letter to match the winning bid. You can rest assured none of them will.

Thank you Rush, you are a great American and Patriot!
I would like to bring to your attention the Brennan family that is discussed in this article; http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21106123/ . This week MSNBC is taking an in-depth look at the middle class. In this article they discuss the hardships of a middle class family that lives in an area (Seattle) where the average home is outside the reach of most middle class families. In the article you get a sense of the hard work that this family is putting in to achieve their dreams and provide a better life for their children. But one of the most telling points of the article is on page two where it reads; " The problem for a lot of the middle class is a consumer mindset, says Dale, a devoted listener of talk radio who says he quickly transformed from a liberal Democrat to a conservative Republican after becoming a father and going to work in a small business." I applaud Dale for seeing the light and becoming a beacon of hope in the liberal bastion that is Seattle Washington. Keep up your hard work Dale, you have realized that, unlike the majority of people in your area, we are entitled to nothing in this world and the only way to achieve and obtain the things we desire is to put in the work.
Referencing the story at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21287765/page/2/ I will save you the time of reading it. The title of the article is "For many black women, it’s Clinton or Obama". That's right, you don't even have to read the article to get where I am going; Black Woman-"Should I vote for clinton because she is a woman, or should I vote for obama because he is black?"
Here's an idea, how about you educate yourself on the issues and the candidate's stances on those issues and then make your choice.
But we all know that if liberals really educated themselves they would vote Republican.
When you first sign up for Political Base you receive some default friends, like how you have Tom as a friend automatically on myspace. Your auto-friends are those who founded the site or have some direct affiliation with it. Well guess what, they are all libs, for the most part. Dave claims to be libertarian...as he well may be, but he appears to be one of those crazy kook libertarians and you can rest assured he will not be voting for a Republican in 2008. So I will lump Dave in with the rest of the founding libs. I hope this site can show/keep some resemblance of balance, but it has been my experience that it is usually not the case. But rather than delete my account and stop supporting the site (and putting money in these lib's pocket via the beautiful wonder of capitalism) I will remain on this site to fight them and all of the other libs. Sorry ethan, dave, andy, tatum, and shelbyb, I am here to stay!
P.S.- Do yourself a favor and delete these people as your friends as it would be just as lame as keeping Tom as a friend on myspace.
