Say hello to MiriamSingsLoud

Hi everyone. I'm on politicalbase because it's awesome! Few things are better than a conversation on a controversial topic with a complete stranger, in my humble opinion.

I'm a student at University of Miami. I'm a pro-life feminist tree-hugging Christian peace-loving hippie: fiscally conservative, socially moderate, and environmentally liberal, which I guess makes me a moderate when you average it all out. Have a good one!

Talking heads are all over Hillary. In response to the suggestion that she quit the race, Clinton enumerated previous Democratic contests that had lasted through June: including the 1968 contest that ended with the assassination of Bobby Kennedy.

It was a stupid thing to say, but she clearly didn't mean to suggest that someone should assassinate Obama. She's already apologized. Can we move on now? Clinton's fifteen minutes of fame should have ended long ago.

I was interested by your posting to my comment about Intelligent Design not being taught in schools. I too am a college student, and I have also have learned of Lamarck's use-disuse theory.

It is just that ID is different because it would be inappropriate for a teacher or professor to say that the theory is wrong (though it obviously is) because that would again go against the separation of church and state. Lamarck's idea can be said to be wrong because it doesn't breach the above, and has been proven to be a false scientific theory.
