Heather Ryan for Kentucky's First

Heather Ryan is just what we need in Kentucky's First Congressional District. She is a citizen that lives and works among the people of this district. She is a veteran, wife, mother and neighbor. She knows the pain felt by this district, because she actually lives here and listens to constituents that live all around her. Her opponent owns no house in the district, and is rarely seen here.

Although she is a political newcomer, Heather is just as qualified as anyone to hold this seat. She is young, energetic, educated and highly intelligent. With the job put in by many in our government the last few decades, I think Heather is actually much more qualified than them to hold office.

I know Heather Ryan. She lives in my town of Paducah and we met through Eric Streit, former candidate for this seat and director of the cable series, "Little People, Big World". I can attest personally that Heather is compassionate and serious about changing the tone in Washington. She has a great sense of humor, and really lights up a room when she is there. Ask anyone who has seen any of her speeches about that.

Exxon Ed Whitfield is an elitist. He has held this seat for 13 yrs. and in that time our district has seen no progress on any front. He has not fought for our workers, for descent jobs, wages and benefits. We he has become a very wealthy man, the citizens of this district have seen their incomes remain stagnant or decline. The worst part is that Exxon Ed Whitfield is actually invested in the pain America's consumers are feeling right now and profiting from it. He will never fight to change a system he profits from.

It is time for a new generation of leadership in this district. It is time for a citizen of this district to hold this seat. It is time that a new leader emerged in Kentucky, one that will fight for our district and isn't invested in the old, failed ways of the Bush Administration. That person is Heather Ryan. She is exactly what we need in our Congress.

Please help make that happen here:
