To J.K. Bowman: Yes you are free to organize as a group and negotiate for health care. But health care is a personal choice, nobody has right to force a socialist medical system on the American people. One that puts all the power in the hands of Washington bureaucrats, taking it away from doctors and patients.

To bethany: the gold standard didn't fail. The government failed to live up to it. The people called the government on this, and eventually the government dropped the gold standard(as well as outlawing the public holding of gold) because it embarrassed them, and it(the gold standard) also made harder for corrupt politicians to run a welfare/warfare state.
