Our RIghts

Relates to:

Our constitutional rights are constantly under fire, either from our government,or by radical extremist who try to twist it's words to fit into what they think is right.I am so sorry, but our constitution is written in a manner that personaly,I don't think we needs lawyers and courts to tell us what it says or means. The government and court systems in this country are always lokking for ways to strip us of certain rights.Didn't we go to war with the British over some of the same issues. That's right,it seems that no one is willing to say "HEY!!Enough is enough!!!!"Our rights give us control of our government,nt the other way around. It's time to stand up for these rights we cherish so much, and quit rolling over and playing dead because someone says we have to!

greatamerica95 - You bring to the table an interesting observation, one that cannot fully endorse and yet one that I certainly can not fault. Assuming you are referring to “us” as private citizens and the Constitution as a set of rules for society to live by; then I wonder “how many times in how many cases” we as individuals legally needed (lawyers) the Constitution to protect us, as opposed to coming before a court where a decision is rendered and enforced.

I know this sounds idiotic, but I would really like to hear an unbiased opinion from the legal community on this matter.

Americans live by the “Rule of Law” I think this means we author laws to protect us from each other, which includes the government. My work takes me to countries where the leaders of these countries institute the “Law of Rule”, whereas they author laws for their own personal needs and rights to rule. Our system has gotten a bit out of balance these past eight years, but hopefully next January our candidates “Change” will bring the Rule of Law more in focus with our desire for liberty and justice.

Yes, the authors of our Constitution were fans of revolution. This is not always a bad thing. It can also be done without the use of force. We are in the middle of one as we speak. Obama is a walking revolution. (not a bad thing). The USSR fell due to a revolution. Should I keep going?

As far as the courts go when it comes to interpretation. Well Let's see. The Constitution says, I have the right to worship as I please. Freedom of speach, to carry arms, to vote, to run for office and so on. What in the world is there to interprate. Only many of the dump laws which have been put in place by control freaks, NOT THE CONSTITUTION!!!

If laws were writen as they should be there would be no need for someone to interperate. They would be clean, and to the point. Laws writen by lawyers or strong supporters of them, which must be taken to them in order to tell us what they say is a massive CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Let's see If I were a lawyer who helped write a law and get it passed. Now you have to pay me to tell you what it means. Is this a conflict of interest. It is unless you have no conception of right and wrong.
