My concerns for the upcoming '08 elections are (in no particular order):

• safety of our nation
• economic health of families and our country
• energy; less dependence on foreign nations
• energy; we need to control rising prices
• health; basic health services should be available to all fairly easily
• community/global service; our country needs to emphasize giving to others
• political parties; getting rid of politicians who just toe the party line
• political parties; putting more good thinkers in office regardless of their party label
• reduce debt to other nations
• gun control; make it extremely difficult for law-breakers to get weapons
• gun control; decrease number of guns in our country
  • Protecting myself against my government (motive for 2nd Ammendment) is not a big concern of mine these days
• education; give families the choice to leave bad public schools and use their tax money for other schooling alternatives
• pornography; this is not free speech, it's trash, it destroys people, and we should do everything we can to eliminate it
• gambling; get rid of it too because it destroys people
• drugs; fight the source and help the addicts
• immigration; make it hard for people to enter illegally and easy for them to obtain citizenship legally
