Because I've found that it is important to voice my opinions.

I am a former Director of Political Affairs for the Maryland Young Republicans, and Vice-Chairman of the county Young Republicans. I felt so betrayed by Pres. Bush that I decided to switch parties. There's been a mean-spiritedness and hawkish ideology behind the GOP that so favors the wealthy and religious right that I could simply not continue to support it. I am a man of deep Christian faith, and one who believes in maintaining America's strength - but not at the cost of our ideals as a nation. My beliefs do not require you to change yours.
