Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the only two candidates who VOTED AGAINST THE PATRIOT ACT.

I threw together a grid with issues that concern me, and as you can see they are both agree on these issues. CHECK IT OUT 

How about we sit both of these guys down, with no host, in a casual setting, and let them discuss their views. I'm looking more for a discussion than a debate; for each to explain their views in more detail and have a discussion about them. I'm sure both men have mutual respect for each others views. Wouldn't you like to see something like this?

Apologies for my admittedly flamewarish post. I'm pro-ACLU as you can tell. The only people I've ever talked to who had something bad to say about the ACLU were regurgitating Fox News or the 700 Club, not the most 'fair' or 'balanced' sources. Basically I agree with what maliggett said. I would still like to hear a good argument why the ACLU is doing 'bad' things. In most of the cases I've read up on, I'm glad the ACLU stepped in to provide legal help. Like most of you, I abhor NAMBLA and those guys that held the "THANK GOD FOR 9/11" signs. At the same time they have fundamental civil liberties and shouldn't be prosecuted for expressing even the most unpopular of ideas.

While I disagree with much of his policy, he's still sane when it comes to the 'big' issues : anti-Iraq war, anti-torture, anti-surveillance. It's incredible that most of the candidates can't even stand up to that.

While most candidates ooze BS and pander to emotions, Kucinich has been consistently BS-free and honest (with a record to back it up). I think America is too stupified to even make the distinction. What the media brings the public is irrelevant shit like, "IS OBAMA BLACK ENOUGH? THE HOUR-LONG POLITICAL HACK DEBATE TONIGHT! DONT MISS IT!" Oh ya, and Elizabeth is HAWT!
